Open beta for Android

Meet Lvma.

Derived from the word for light, Lvma is an Android camera app designed to bring the playfulness back to photography. Built for effortless one-handed shooting, whether you’re in portrait or landscape mode. It lets you preview live presets, tweak adjustments on the fly, and capture a finished masterpiece right in the camera.

Embrace the aesthetic. Great photos don’t need clinical perfection. With Lvma’s live presets, shadows stay moody, highlights glow naturally, and your shots retain their authentic feel before you even take the picture.

Because the fun is in taking the picture, not fixing it later.

Features

Built for playful shooting.

  • Play before you shoot — try different presets live, tweak the adjustments, and find the mood in the moment.
  • Fast in one hand — made for quickly pulling out your phone and shooting in portrait or landscape.
  • Capture the look in-camera — make the creative decisions while taking the picture instead of editing later.
  • Zero Processing — skip the usual phone-camera cleanup and let shadows, highlights, and color stay natural.

Why Lvma exists

A camera should feel like something you can play with.

Lvma was built because most phone cameras are great at producing clean images, but not always at making photography feel playful. The goal is a camera you can quickly pull out with one hand, then still have room to experiment with presets, adjustments, light, and mood.

It is about making creative decisions while taking the picture — not turning every photo into an editing task afterwards.

Zero Processing

Natural, not always perfect.

Lvma can bypass the usual phone-camera cleanup so photos feel more natural and real. Highlights can stay bright, shadows can stay dark, and if not every detail is perfectly exposed, that’s okay — it can give the image its own aesthetic.

Choose which automatic steps to skip per preset: noise reduction, sharpening, tone mapping, and color correction.

FAQ

A few things worth knowing.

What does open beta mean?

Lvma is usable today, but still evolving. Joining the beta means you can try new camera ideas early and help shape what comes next.

Is Lvma free?

Yes. Lvma is free and will always stay free.

Is Lvma Android only?

Yes. Lvma is currently built for Android and available through Google Play.

Which Android version do I need?

Lvma supports Android 11 and newer. Some camera features can still vary by device.

Do my photos leave my device?

No. Photos are processed and stored locally on your device. Lvma does not upload your photos to a cloud service.

Does Lvma use analytics or tracking?

No. Lvma does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Can I make my own presets?

Yes. You can tweak presets and save reusable looks so the image already feels right before you take the picture.

What does Zero Processing do?

Zero Processing lets a preset skip parts of the phone-camera pipeline that usually clean up and reshape an image, such as noise reduction, sharpening, tone mapping, and color correction. This keeps shadows darker, highlights brighter, texture more visible, and the photo closer to the light that was actually there. It can look less perfect, but more natural and expressive.

Does Lvma shoot RAW?

Not yet. Lvma currently saves JPEG photos; RAW/DNG capture is on the roadmap.
